In this section you will find details about version 1.0, and 2.0 templates and how they are used in the platform.

Template Files & Locations

Website templates are based on standard html files. These template files end in *.htm extensions. File names and locations are important. All files are located in a structure under the Site Settings directory within the website's Site Documents directory.

Templates are used in four primary areas of the platform, each is described below along with file locations, names, and usage details,

Apps

Module applications typically have the ability to utilize templates for the layout of their interfaces. These applications have a default appearance which can be always be reverted to. These can also be overridden on an individual basis. When an app template is overridden, a file is created in the /Site Settings/Templates/Apps directory.

Messages

Email messages generated from the platform utilize templates for the layout of their message and placement of custom data and elements. These messages have a default appearance which can be always be reverted to.
